LePage to Announce New Team Members

Maine Gov.-elect Paul LePage will take another step toward organizing his administration as it tackles one of the biggest concerns in the State House: the upcoming state budget. The Republican governor-elect on Tuesday will name members of the group that will help him craft a budget that will be considered in the months ahead by the newly elected Republican Legislature. While the state revenue picture is slowly improving, estimates still show anticipated spending hundreds of millions of dollars higher than revenue estimates. The state budget must be balanced. LePage’s first budget will cover the two-year period that begins next July 1. He will introduce his budget advisers Tuesday afternoon in the State House. (AP)
