Bangor Humane Society Hosts Pet ID Clinic

Updated 4 years ago

The Bangor Humane Society is helping pet owners indentify their furry friends in case they ever get lost.On Saturday, they offered a pet id clinic where folks could get their pets microchipped for just twenty dollars. The microchip is placed on the nape of an animal’s neck.Danielle Couto with the Humane Society says it doesn’t hurt the animal, it feels like a small pin-prick.She recommends the procedure for any pet owner.”Just for that security to know that your dog is going to get loose or if your cat gets loose to know that you have that link between the two so that you can be reconnected in the future,” she said.If you missed out on Saturday’s clinic, you can get more information about microchips and the Humane Society by logging onto their website www.bangor humane.org.
