Fire in Washington Ruled Arson 

The fire that damaged a house in Washington Thursday night was arson, so says the State Fire Marshal’s Office.A woman who lives on Bill Luce Road called police shortly before 10p.m. to say a man entered her home and showed a weapon.She told police there was a brief confrontation and that during that time she realized her house was on fire. Police say she told them the man ran off when the smoke alarms went off.She woke her three children up and got them out of the house.Firefighters put the fire out in less than an hour, they say it started in the basement.Police are now searching for the intruder.
