LePage Addresses Supporters as Election Night Turns to Morning 

Republican candidate for Governor Paul LePage went into the midnight hour early Wednesday morning just two votes shy of the leader, independent Eliot Cutler.By 3a.m., he was starting to slowly pull away from Cutler, and into the lead.LePage addressed his supporters early Wednesday morning in Waterville. “I really do want to thank everyone in this room and everyone thats worked so hard these last fifteen months. We started this out, and they were saying ‘Paul LePage? Who is that?’ and then by February I was like ‘you know, there’s a dark horse in this race.’ LePage said to a cheering crowd. “When we won the primary they started calling me the ‘big dog.’ Well let me tell you something. By morning, we’re gonna finish it like Secretariat.”
