Some folks in Brewer headed to the polls bright and early and one of the five candidates for Governor was there to greet them. Polls opened at 8:00 a.m. at the Brewer Auditorium and workers there say the crowd has been steady from the start.Independent candidate Shawn Moody spent part of his morning shaking hands and talking with voters. Moody says he’s feeling great about election day and says Maine is facing some monumental challenges. He’s hoping mainer’s decide that he’s the man to tackle those challenges. “I think I am that person. A lot of real life experience, business experience, raised a family with four kids through the public school system so I think I have good well rounded roots in Maine,” Moody said. “I’m a different candidate and that’s what Maine needs right now something different.”Moody says his schedule is packed today as he visits other voting sites statewide. He’ll cast his vote later in Gorham and his day wraps up with an event at his campaign headquarters later tonight.
