Rocktoberfest Offers Safe Halloween Activities

A local church transformed into fantasy villages full of free candy Sunday night. The Roch Church in both Brewer and Bangor invited the public to stop by for a fun and safe Halloween. They called it, Rocktoberfest. The event featured an 80’s rock band, a pirate ship and themed, deocrated cars with trunks full of candy.Organizers say it’s a great way to get some sweets, dress up and be safe while doing so. “Even though scary is a part of Halloween for young kids it goes overboard. We wanted them to feel welcome, we want families to feel this is a place you can come and bring your kids and not have to worry about them going home with nightmares,” said Jim Funari, assistant pastor at the Rock Church.
