Local Business Collects Goods for Manna

A local business hosted a Halloween costume event for charity Saturday.Northstar Photography in Bangor collected canned goods and money for Manna Ministries.Parents and their children ages 1 through 12 were asked to donate five dollars or five canned goods. With the donation kids got their picture taken in their Halloween costumes for free.Owner and photographer David Brown says the event is a way for his business to give back to the community. ” Times are tough for everybody. The economy is really kind of crunching everybody and anything we can do to help out. I know charities are not getting what they’re used to seeing on a yearly basis, so every little bit helps,” said David Brown, owner of Northstar Photography. On November 13th the studio will host a similiar event called “Santa Day”. “Santa Day” will raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network. For more information call Northstar Photography at 947-4590.
