Shark in Eastport

A scuba diver from Perry got quite the fright in the ocean off Eastport.Scott MacNichol was filming the ocean floor, about three stories beneath the surface, when a shark attacked his camera.MacNichol says he wasn’t hurt.He believes the 8-foot, 3-hundred pound Porbeagle shark mistook his camera for a fish.He says the shark circled twice before attacking.Porbeagles have a similar body shape and tail to Mako and Great White sharks. They eat mostly herring and mackerel and rarely attack humans.
