Pink Tulip Project takes on Downtown Bangor

The weather was perfect for gardening today, and some John Bapast Memorial High School students were doing just that.Students planted five hundred tulips at Bangor Savings Bank Garden as part of the Maine Cancer Foundation’s Pink Tulip Project.Though the flowers won’t bloom until the spring, it’s the anticipation of their eventual beauty that gives some survivors hope. The Pink Tulip Project started in 2006 and has planted thirty thousand tulips around the state in this year alone.
