Former Methodone Clinic Owner Sentenced 

The owner of a methadone clinic in Rockland that was shut down this summer was sentenced today.42-year old Angel Fuller-McMahan of Owls Head will spend thirty days in jail for possessing cocaine.McMahan ran the turning tides methadone clinic.The clinic opened in 2008, provided methadone to about 280 drug-addicted clients.In exchange for a guilty plea prosecutors struck a deal with McMahan agreeing to lower the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor.Shortly after McMahan’s arrest another employee at the clinic was arrested on drug charges.Clinic counselor Carol Gardiner of Thorndike is charged with attempted possession of cocaine..Gardiner’s case is still pending.
