UPDATE: 90-Year-Old Couple Killed in Fairfield Car Wreck 

Police have released the names of a couple from Sidney who were killed in a car crash in Fairfield.It happened on the Norridgewock Road just after 5 p.m Wednesday.Police say 90-year-old Henry Bacon was turning left into the parking lot of a Big Apple convenience store and failed to yield to another driver, who slammed into his car.Bacon and his wife, 90-year-old Priscilla Bacon, were both killed.The driver of the other car, a 27-year-old man from Madison, was not seriously injured.Sargeant Matthew Bard with the Fairfield Police Department says, “We do have frequent accidents here with the store. It’s a 55 mph zone. Often there are accidents with cars coming in and out of the store, usually not this bad.” A Lifeflight helicopter was called in, but both victims died at the scene.That stretch of Norridgewock Road was closed until about 9 p.m.
