Nobel Prize Winner Speaks at University of Maine 

A Nobel Prize winner was in Orono Thursday.Elinor Ostrom received the Nobel in economic sciences last year.Thursday, she spoke on the University of Maine campus as part of the school’s annual George Mitchell Lecture on Sustainability.Ostrom discussed sustaining our natural resources in a rapidly changing world. ” Our universities need to be entering good science wherever we can but then recognizing that besides having reason foundations we need to be moving ahead,” said Elinor Ostrom.Ostrom is a faculty member at both Indiana University and Arizona State.
