Tribute to Fallen Maine Wardens 

Today, Maine game wardens put on their running shoes to pay tribute to their fallen comrades.More than thirty people took part in the third annual fallen heroes memorial run.The 13-mile trek began at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro.A black ribbon with the name of those who’ve died was placed on the heroes memorial flag that was carried during the run.More Maine Wardens have died on the job than have officers from any other state, county or municipal force.Runners finished at the Law Officers Memorial Wall in Augusta where a ceremony was held.Families of those who died say it was a great honor for the wardens to remember their loved ones.
