Hundreds Walk For Cardiovascular Disease 

Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death in the United States.Hundreds of people walked to honor those affected by it at the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk at Husson University.The event raised more than $24,000.Diana Bosch has more.”We lost someone very special to us and we’ll keep going but not without remembering her.”Heidi Shawley woke up early this wet, Saturday morning to honor her dear friend and co-worker Judy, who unexpectedly past away a week ago of a heart attack.She and her coworkers walked to raise money for the American Heart Association’s heart walk at husson university.she was just the most amazing woman that you would ever want to know, she was selfless she took care of everyone, her patients loved her.Hundreds braved the cold weather and walked along a four mile route.Tabatha Caso walked with “The Beat Goes on for Dom.” The team was named in honor of her son Dominic, who was born with a heart disease. “People really need to be aware about the different research they do and the possibilities that are out there to help people like Dominic or anyone else that has some sort of heart condition.”Dom had his first heart surgery when he was three days old.
