Cameron Requests New Trial 

A former Maine drug prosecutor is challenging his child pornography conviction.James Cameron, 48, of Hallowell was found guilty of more than a dozen charges by a judge after he waived a jury trial.Cameron now wants to be cleared of the charges, or at least be given a new trial.Cameron claims he was denied the right to confront witnesses and therefore was denied due process.Federal prosecutors say the verdict should stand and the request for a new trial should be denied.Cameron is in federal custody and will be sentenced later this year.
