Eviction Case Against Diva’s Comes to a Halt

The eviction case against the owner and operator of Bangor’s only topless dance club has come to a halt.Diane Cormier runs Diva’s Gentleman’s Club on Harlow Street. She fell behind on the rent but wanted to remain in the building while she tried to pay the money back. Her landlord, Thomas Brann, told her she had until mid-june to clear out and wouldn’t be held liable for the rest of her lease. Brann’s attorney, David Walker, says the eviction has been dismissed in court on a technicality. He says when Brann filed court documents seeking the eviction he did so before hiring an attorney, which he needed.Walker says he will refile the paperwork and continue the eviction process at the next available court date.
