Boy and Man Injured in ATV Ax in Otisfield 

Two people, including a seven year old boy were seriously injured in an ATV accident Sunday night in Otisfield.It happened off lake road.The Maine Warden Service says 28-year old Jordan Anderson of Portland was driving a friend’s machine around 5 Sunday night on a driveway.The owner’s son was sitting behind him.Somehow, the ATV hit some rocks and went off the driveway.The force of the impact broke the tire off the axle, causing the ATV to go airborne for about 15 feet before landing upside down.Both anderson and the boy passenger were thrown off the machine.Anderson suffered a broken femur.The seven year old had a broken eye socket and several breaks to his left arm. We’re told he was wearing a helmet.Both victims were taken to the hospital.The incident is now under investigation.
