Trial Set in Murder of Man from Dedham

A woman from Florida accused of shooting to death a man from Dedham is now scheduled to go on trial in February.45-year-old Tamra Leasure of Riverview is charged with second degree murder in the death of 57-year-old Arthur Tilley, Junior. In August a judge rejected Leasure’s argument that the case should be thrown out because she claims she shot Tilley in self defense. Court documents show her trial is set for February 7th – with a pre-trial hearing a week before that. Police say in March of last year Leasure shot Tilley three times during an argument in her home.Tilley had been staying with Leasure for several days.Leasure told authorities after the shooting, she put the gun in Tilley’s hand to make it look like a suicide.Tilley was a well-known member of the Bangor Kiwanis Club. His father is a former Bangor city councilor.
