Greenville Man Sentenced on Drug Charge

A Greenville man will spend 30 days in jail for selling drugs to two 13-year olds.District Attorney Chris Almy says 18-year old Donald Abbott-Roy pleaded guilty to aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.Almy says the parents of one of the juveniles filed a complaint with Greenville Police, claiming Abbott-Roy had sold their son marijuana.Almy says he was hesitant to move the case forward because the 13-year old would have to testify in court. Abbott-Roy’s guilty plea prevented that from happening.Another Greenville man, 18-year old Cory Mitchell, is also charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs near a school, and is due in court next month.
