Moody in Waterville

Independent gubernatorial candidate Shawn Moody spoke at the Waterville Rotary Club meeting Monday. Education was Moody’s main focus. He told the crowd he thinks educators can do a better job teaching students about the available job opportunities in Maine. “There’s got to be the doors of opportunity for our young adults because let’s face it not everybody’s headed for college at that point. I don’t think we do a very good job identifying this with our young folks early enough in school and we lose them,” he says. The next gubernatorial forum with all five candidates will be held in Orono Tuesday, October 5 from 9am-1pm. Each candidate will have a forty-five minute session to answer questions. It will be held on the University of Maine campus at the Wells Conference Center starting at 9am.
