Hundreds of folks took part in a kitchen tour Saturday afternoon. For the 6th year, Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Auxiliary hosted the event. Seven kitchens in the Bangor area were part of the event. The oldest home on the tour was built in 1860 and the newest kitchen was just finished in August.Organizers say the kitchen tour offers a little something for everyone. ” People are always interested in how people decorate their homes and get different ideas for themselves if they’re doing any kind of renovation or looking to purchase a home,” Paula Ballesteros, President of the EMMC Auxiliary. All of the money raised goes towards the Champion the Cure Campaign for Cancer Care of Maine.
