Jury Reaches Verdict in Twardus Case 

A Maine jury has found a New Hampshire man guilty of murdering his ex-fiance in Alfred.Jurors reached a verdict Friday after deliberating over two days in the trial of Jason Twardus of Rochester, NH. Twardus has been convicted of strangling Kelly Gorham, 30, of Alfred in August 2007 and burying her body on property belonging to Twardus’ father in New Hampshire. Twardus testified this week there were no hard feelings after his break-up with Gorham.His attorney had said police should look for other suspects.
