Weight Watchers: Apple Recipe

It’s apple season in Maine! Jackie Conn from Weight Watchers tells us that apple picking is great exercise and after we collect our bounty and burn some calories we can reward ourselves with this delicious apple dessert she’s here to share with us!Twice Baked Apples with Cinnamon Vanilla Yogurt SauceCourse: dessertsPOINTS® Value: 3Servings: 4Preparation Time: 10 minCooking Time: 15 minLevel of Difficulty: EasyThink of this as apple pie a la mode-minus the crust. Use yourfavorite apple varieties, red or green. Ingredients 4 small apple(s) 1 cup(s) unsweetened applesauce 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, divided 1 Tbsp SPLENDA® Splenda Brown Sugar Blend, ® 1/4 cup(s) water 16 oz Weight Watchers Vanilla Nonfat Yogurt, ® 4 tsp chopped walnuts, or pecans, toastedInstructions * Core apples, leaving bottoms intact so that apples can befilled. Place apples, upright, in a small glass microwave safe bakingdish. * In a small bowl, combine applesauce, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon andSplenda®: spoon evenly into apples. * Pour water around apples, into bottom of baking dish: cover andplace in microwave. Cook at medium power until apples are soft buthold their shape, about 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from microwave andallow to cool to desired temperature. * Stir Weight Watchers® Vanilla Nonfat Yogurt and spoon 1/2 cupover each apple: garnish with a sprinkle of remaining cinnamon andnuts.
