Two Maine Library Associations Receive Funding 

Two Maine libraries have received generous funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.More than $36,000 will go to the Eastport Public Library Association and $49,000 will go to the Shaw Public Library Association in Greenville. The Eastport funding will be used to repair a library and construct an outside reading area, while the Greenville funding will be used to purchase property to serve as an annex to the main library.Congressman Mike Michaud says the funding will promote increased economic activity in these communities.
