Rockland Man Arrested After Bringing Machete into Rite Aid and Demanding Drugs 

Powell jumped over the pharmacy counter, threatened the clerk and demanded drugs.A customer in the drive-thru saw him and called police.Deputy Chief of Police, Wally Tower, says when they arrived, powell still had the machete.He says officers drew their guns and Powell dropped the weapon.Powell is charged with robbery.He was taken to Penobscot Bay Medical Center for a mental evaluation and has since been transported to the Knox County Jail.
