Waterville Boy’s Soccer Grab Road Win Over Hampden

The first half of the high school soccer season is in the books for many. Today the second half kicked off for two teams high in the Class A standings. Boys fifth ranked Hampden hosting sixth ranked Waterville.The new Hampden Academy well underway, right next to the fields.Hampden with a good chance early on. Off the corner kick, Cooper Antone tries to put the Broncos up. But it goes high and wide. We’re still scoreless.Halfway through the first. Waterville sends it in. Bounces off a Hampden player in the box. Penalty given.John Terhune going toe to toe with Logan Poirer. Terhune goes to his right. Poirer gets a hand on it but not enough. Waterville gos up one-nil.Hampden put pressure on Waterville but the Panthers get the win. 1-0 the final score.
