A crash in Holden shut down the Main Road for a time Monday night.Authorities say the crash involved a car and a flatbed truck hauling three cars. The flatbed ended up in a ditch, with the driver trapped inside. He was rescued and taken to the hospital with ankle injuries. The unidentified 18-year-old driver of the car was also taken to the hospital with what’s being described as non-life threatening injuries.Police say that the time of the crash, along with the weather, put a damper on their investigation. “It does not appear that alcohol or speed was involved, which we’re trying to determine exactly now what did happen,” Said Holden Police Sgt. Eugene Fizell. “It is complicated by the fact that any skid marks are now washed out by the rain. So with the darkness on the road, and the darkness of the evening, any skid marks we had are really difficult to see.”Police say Main Road re-opened about 12:30 Tuesday morning.
