Moose Hunt Underway In Parts of Maine 

The Maine moose hunt is underway in some parts of the state.3,140 hunters have permission to hunt for moose.The six northern most zones opened to hunters at daybreak today, as did two zones in Eastern Maine near the Canadian Border.Tagging stations are open around the state, including Lennies Superette in Medway.Hunters are supposed to stop at the tagging station nearest to where they shot their moose.In much of Maine, hunting season means more money being spent at local businesses.
