Multiple Myeloma 5K 

Some folks hit the streets of Bangor Saturday to raise awareness about Multiple Myeloma.It was the fourth annual 5K race and walk.Multiple Myeloma is a treatable but incurable disease.It’s a blood cancer that affects people’s bone marrow and causes your bones to deteriorate.Besides raising money and awareness, organizers are trying to build a network for folks to support each other.They say they’re happy with the response.” Last year we raised a little over $3,200. This year I’m hoping high for $5,000. We’ll see.”Randy McDonald of Hampden ran his way into first place in today’s race.
