Students from John Bapst took to the streets Wednesday afternoon to do some cleaning. The Student Environment Action Club and the John Bapst football team pitched in to help pick up trash around the school. It’s an event that takes place twice a year, as a way for the school to give back to the community.Organizers say the clean up makes a big impact.” Since we started doing this I think there is a lot less trash that accumulates throughout the year and so I think there is a big differences,” said Chris Packard, a faculty advisor for SEAC. Students say there is always a good amount of trash to pick up, ” We will definitely get at least five full bags of garbage just in this small area,” said Deanna Power, vice president of SEAC.Another clean up will take place during Earth Week in April.
