Survivor Challenge Obstacle Course

Today is Constitution Day, celebrating the 223rd anniversary of the ratification of the United States Constitution. In recognition of the event, students at Penobscot Job Corps took part in an obstacle course. This is the second year the academy has put on the Survivor Challenge Obstacle Course.Three teams of students participate in mini-races and games, all while learning about the importance of the U.S. Constitution. The goal is to challenge the students both mentally and physically.” The mental challenge is getting together and putting together the Preamble of the Constitution together which is where they have the hardest because they don’t really know what the Preamble is,” said Fran Stauff, coordinator of Student Government at Penobscot Job Corps. Organizers say this year the crowd was louder and more excited than last. They plan to continue the obstacle course next year.
