An upwards of 5,000 people are expected to hit the streets of Bangor this weekend in the search for a cure for breast cancer. The 14th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is Sunday morning. It gets started at the Bangor Waterfront. A survivor ceremony kicks off the event at 9 o’clock. The 5-k run-walk begins at 10 and the 1-k run-walk starts 15 minutes later. There’s still time to join in on the race – you can even register the morning of the event. For more information, log on to komen maine.org.Organizers say last year 4,700 people took part in the race.
