A federal grand jury in Pennsylvania has indicted a convicted sex offender from Anson on charges that he raped a woman in the Allegheny National Forest. Thirty-five-year-old Mike Beaulieu was arrested last month in New Brunswick, Canada. He’s remains behind bars there on a weapons charge for allegedly having a gun despite, being a felony sex offender in Maine, where he once spent four years in prison. Authorities say in August, Beaulieu accosted a couple at gunpoint in the park, tied up the man and raped the woman. Beaulieu charged with aggravated sexual abuse, kidnapping, and weapons charges. He faces up to life in prison.
