Keeping People Safe from Injuries 

People from all over the state came to Hermon for a safety conference.Folks who attended learned a variety of techniques to help to keep people of all ages safe from injuries.Some who were there work with children and teens, but there were also parents and other caregivers on hand for the workshop.The program is sponsored by the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention.The CDC says in 2008, more than 800 people died from preventable injuries and thousands were hospitalized.For more information on the injury prevention program you check out the website and type injury prevention.
