Maine Offense Comes Alive As Black Bears Beat Monmouth

Last Thursday, Maine could not get anything going on the offensive side of the ball losing to NEC school Albany 3-0 in Orono. Today, the Black Bears going against another school from the NEC. This time Monmouth. The worry for Black Bear fans was the status of running back Jarred Turcotte. He was taken out for a brief period last week after he developed a hip pointer. Well, no hip pointer or Monmouth defender could stop Turcotte today. Three touchdowns for the junior from Lewiston. Derek Session had a touchdown as well. Warren Smith threw for 194 yards. Maine gets their first win of the season 31-23 over Monmouth.
