Francis Re-elected Chief Of Penobscot Nation 

Members of the Penobscot Nation have re-elected Chief Kirk Francis. In yesterday’s election Francis received more than twice the votes of his challenger, former Chief Barry Dana. Francis got 372 votes while 154 votes were cast for Dana. The two ran against each other four years ago, a race also won by Francis.The Penobscot Nation also elected William Thompson Vice Chief and several other tribal officers including tribal council and school board representatives.
