Maine Pitcher Gets His First Shot at the Big Leagues

The baseball dream is about to be realized for Maine’s Mark Rogers. The Milwaukee Brewers will officially call him up to the major leagues tomorrow.Rogers is 24 years old and pitched for Mt. Ararat high school. This season he split time with the Brewers Double and Triple A teams. The pitcher was selected as the 5th overall pick in the 2004 draft but was slowed by two surgeries on his pitching arm. The Brewers are off today, but he will be in uniform for the first time as a major leaguer tomorrow night when the Brewers play the Cubs.
