Weather Too Hot To Handle for Some Schools 

For two days in a row, the heat has effected schools.Thursday, schools in the Rockland and Thomaston areas were canceled due to the high temperatures in the buildings.The Maine C.D.C. and Department of Education has sent a notice to superintendents advising extreme caution regarding school activities and high heat.Many schools across the state have canceled outdoor sporting practices.Health officials say Maine is expected to have some of the worst air quality we have seen in several years over the next several days.At least four other school systems dismissed students early today including Augusta, Belfast, Gardiner, and Houlton.
