No Major Issues at Folk Festival

It takes lots of public safety personell to make sure everyone is safe during the weekend-long Folk Festival. The Bangor Police Department had 8 officers at any given time moving throughout the festival grounds. There is also an Incident Command Center set up at the waterfront so that all issues can be taken care of on-site.Deputy Chief Peter Arno with the Bangor Police Department says this years crowd was great, “We’ve had a number of incidents where people are turning in wallets with cash still in them, purses with cash in them, credit cards. So it’s a well behaved crowd and absolutely no issues from a police standpoint.”Arno says the only issues were traffic problems on Saturday, but those were quickly straightened out.
