Bangor Man Charged in Shots-Fired Incident 

Police have arrested a 25-year-old Bangor man involved in a shots-fired incident in Holden Saturday afternoon.Daniel Day is charged with armed robbery, aggravated reckless conduct with a firearm and criminal mischief.According to Sergeant Eugene Fizell with the Holden Police Department, a call came in just before 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon from a family member of Day stating the 25-year-old had numerous guns and was distraught.The Maine State Police Tactical Team, Maine Warden Service, Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department and Holden police responded to the call.Several gun shots were fired by Day in the back yard of his grandmother’s home on Mann Hill Road in Holden.When officers approached Day, Fizell says shots were fired in the direction of the officers.Day did surrender a little more than an hour after authorities arrived.He is being held at the Penobscot County Jail on $10,000 bail.Day is expected to be arraigned Monday afternoon at the Penobscot County Judicial Center.No one was injured in the incident.
