Shots Fired in Holden 

Police are investigating an incident in Holden in which shots were fired.According to Sergeant Eugene Fizell with the Holden Police Department, a 25-year-old male, whose name has not yet been released, was taken into custody late Saturday afternoon on Mann Hill Road.A call came in just before 3 o’clock from a family member of the man, stating the male had numerous guns and was distraught.The Maine State Police Tactical Team, Maine Warden Servce, Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department as well as Holden Police responded.We’re told several gun shots were fired by the 25-year-old in the back yard of the home. ” We’re not exactly sure how they were fired in the sense of at anybody or at the building, but he was discharging weapons in the back yard in an indiscriminant manner,” said Sgt. Eugene Fizell.The man has been brought to Eastern Maine Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation.Police are not sure what charges, if any, will be filed.No one was injured.
