Man Convicted for Threatening Senator Collins 

An Illinois man will spend time in prison, for threatening to shoot Senator Susan Collins because she supported the federal government’s economic stimulus package.47-year-old John O’Neill pleaded guilty in federal court to making threatening interstate communications.O’Neill reportedly called Collins’ Augusta office 17 times in February.When O’Neill learned that Collins supported the bill, he told a Collins’ staff member that he was going to quote “put a bullet” in Collins’ head.O’Neill was sentenced to five months behind bars.
