Fundraiser for ALS

On Saturday, bikers came together for a good cause in Brewer.Team Jimmy’s Dance partnered up with the Maine Military Supply to host a ride to help support ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The ride began at the supply store on Wilson Street. The bikers rode for 140 miles. Robby Cyar was one of the people responsible for Saturday’s event, he says the ride is important to not only give back but to raise awareness.”It’s for a good cause, ALS is a very debilitating disease, usually you get 2 to 5 years, you become a prisoner in your own body, your mind is there 100 percent but you can’t physically move any way,” said Cyar. Ten percent of Saturday’s sales at the Military Supply Store were donated to help ALS research.
