Massive Egg Recall 

ATLANTA (AP) – A recall of eggs linked to a salmonella outbreakis being dramatically expanded to 380 million eggs. Health officials said Wednesday that hundreds of people havebeen sickened in a salmonella outbreak linked to eggs in threestates and possibly more. A recall first announced last week wasexpanded from 228 million to 380 million eggs – the equivalent ofnearly 32 million dozen-egg cartons. Eggs from Wright County Egg in Galt, Iowa, were linked toseveral illnesses in the three states. Thoroughly cooking eggs cankill the bacteria.
