Families Recognized for Knowledge of Park Perks 

Three Maine families have been recognized for their intimate knowledge of what our state parks have to offer.They have completed their Maine state park passports, a program designed to give folks extra incentive to travel the state and visit state parks and historic sites.For every 8 stamps you get, you’re eligible for a prize. The prizes get bigger as you visit more parks and fill up your passport.Debi Pride from Buckfield, the Curtis family from Bowdoinham, and the Kenny family from Limerick have been to all 48 state parks and historic sites.The three winning families each get a free season pass to our state parks.The passport program began this year, just in time to help mark the 75th anniversary of the Maine state parks system.
