Boat Show Hits the Maine Coast 

Boat builders from around the world are gathered in Rockland for the state’s only in-the-water boat show.The 8th annual Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors Show kicked off Friday morning.Boats are displayed in the water, and numerous exhibitors are on hand showcasing everything from boats and art to furniture and jewelry.Organizers say this unique gathering is a way to celebrate coastal creativity.”If you as a customer wanted to see all this creativity it would take you all summer to go up and down this coast. So getting all these businesses together in one place is a real example of what we can do here in the state of Maine,” said John Hanson, organizer of the boat show. The show runs Saturday from 10 until 6 and Sunday from 10 until 4.Admission is $12, kids 12 and under get in for free.
