Lighthouse To Be Auctioned Off

Its not the most luxurious quarters to live in, but it has a million-dollar view. The 72-foot conical light tower, Ram Island Ledge Lighthouse, is being auctioned off by the federal government, off Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The views are to die for and the lighthouse has a lot of history behind it, a reminder that lighthouse keepers lived in isolation manning kerosene lamps and foghorns, to keep Mainers safe.Later this month, bidders may take a tour of the lighthouse. At the moment, there is only one bid of $10,000 that has been place on the lighthouse.
