Life flight was called to the scene of a motorcycle accident in Amherst this afternoon.Around 4:00pm Daryl Hicks of New Brunswick was driving his bike in Amherst when he came to a construction stop. Hicks swerved to the right to avoid hitting a truck that stopped in front of him. He had to drop the bike to the ground in order to avoid hitting a flagger at the construction site.Hick’s had a passenger on the back of the bike,D aphne Lannon also of New Brunswick. Lannon had to be life flighted to Eastern Maine Medical Center with head and shoulder injuries. There’s no update on her condition right now.Traffic was slowed to one lane after the accident, and stopped completely at one point for life flight.
