Trapper in Court for Trapping Lynx 

A Pennsylvania fur trapper will go on trial in federal court, for allegedly trapping a threatened Canada lynx in a remote part of northern Maine.40-year-old William McCoy pleaded not guilty last week in Bangor, to charges he violated the Endangered Species Act by killing the lynx As well as a protected bird in 2008. A federal complaint said McCoy was warned during the 2008 trapping season that his traps did not comply with Maine rules, but he continued to set illegal traps.In December of that year, wardens reportedly discovered a dead lynx near McCoy’s traps in Stacyville.
