Mental Health Exam Ordered for Accused Arsonist
A man from Bangor accused of setting fire to an apartment complex has been ordered to undergo a mental health exam.35-year-old Larry Doyen is charged with arson. He appeared in court in Bangor today.Authorities say nearly two weeks ago, Doyen started the fire in the bedroom of his apartment on Essex Street. When firefighters arrived, smoke and flames were already coming from the building. Doyen was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center for treatment. He remains in the Penobscot County jail on $1,000 cash bail and is due back in court in October.
